Human remains found in Walsall Forest as cops cut off search area

“Human remains” were found in Walsall’s forest, which was cut off by cops. Forensic searches are being conducted at the scene near Cuckoo’s Corner, Sutton Road.

This comes after what police believe to be human remains were found at the scene just before 4pm yesterday (June 4th). Additional searches are currently underway in the area.

The discovery was treated as “unexplained” and the incident was referred to a medical examiner.

A West Midlands police spokeswoman said: “We are investigating the discovery of what are believed to be human remains in the woods near Cuckoos Nook, Sutton Road, Walsall shortly before 16:00 yesterday (June 4th). The area has been cordoned off for forensic retrieval and subsequent searches.

“The discovery is being treated as unexplained at the moment and we have reported the incident to the investigator.

Cuckoo’s Nook and the Dingle is classified as a local nature reserve (LNR) and a nature conservation site (SINC).
