The car crashed into a parked vehicle while fire and police teams were present

A car collided with a parked vehicle on the road to Merseyside, injuring two people.

Police were called to Pilch Lane East in Houghton around 8.45pm tonight for warning of an accident. A car was found to have crashed into a parked vehicle, injuring two people.

The Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service is also on site to secure the vehicles. The service said the residents were slightly injured.

A Merseyside police spokesman said: “Officers were called to the scene at around 8.45pm to signal a collision. Fire crews have also arrived on the scene. Only minor injuries were reported.

A spokesman for the Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service said: “The accident was a collision between two vehicles without significant injuries. The crime scene was left with the police, the fire and rescue service were called only to secure the scene and vehicles.
