Toronto Blue Jays exchange Ryan Boruki Seattle Mariners Tyler Keenan

The Toronto Blue Jays have acquired Seattle Mariners’ Tyler Keenan in place of left-hander Ryan Boruki, the team said on Saturday.

The 23-year-old Keenan scored 0.250 with seven shots on extra base and 14 RBI in 25 games for High-A Everett. The 6-foot 4 and £ 250 left-hander was selected by the Mariners in the fourth round of the first-year draft in 2020. He scored nine home runs and 58 RBI in 89 major league games between first and third base.

The 28-year-old Boruki has been fighting for the 9.95 ERA on 11 trips to the Blue Jays this season. Since making his MLB debut in 2018, Boruki has a record 8-9 with a 4.47 ERA in 75 appearances (19 starts, 56 reliefs) for Jace.
