Paul McCusker, an SDLP adviser in the area, said the tenant of the house in Estoril Park and his family were “scared” by the attack. He added that the man who lives there was hospitalized because of the “trauma” caused by the accident.
He added: “This is a deeply disturbing incident and has made this family very scared. Two men were spotted fleeing the scene after the attack, and the family appealed to people in the area to check video surveillance, etc. and come out if they have any information. This is simply unacceptable and has left the person who lives here traumatized. “
PSNI said detectives in North Belfast were calling for information and witnesses “after a petrol bomb attack on a property in the Estoril Park area last Sunday, June 5”.
Detective Sergeant Kitchen said: “Police received a signal at around 11.50pm that a petrol bomb had been dropped on the front window of the property. The fire was extinguished and the windows were burned. Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident.
“Our investigation is ongoing and I would like to ask anyone who has been in the area or who may have noticed any suspicious activity or has camera recordings that can help us contact 101, citing reference number 2173 05/06 / 22. ”
