The complex designs of watches never cease to amaze us with their unimaginably precise movement and millimeter precision in the design of the components. Combine this with a cool idea or philosophy that connects generations of light years apart, and you’ll get a niche clock design. Add a bit of hearing and visual brilliance to the mix and the end product is an avant-garde creation that any watch genius would be proud of.
The concept clock, created by Naotou Aji, encapsulates the galactic system in its cyclical motion – represented by spirals that shrink like the lens of a DSLR camera. Each level of spiraling outside shows the current hours, minutes and seconds in a counter-like style, respectively, which can only be seen from an angle. On the next side, such a spiral embraces the audio driver, covered in brass material that emits sound, and concentric circles move to melodies like never before.

So, this is Sierra from passing time and dancing music in perfect sync with the table clock. The cubic design of the watch combines the goodness of the designer’s previous designs, including the Eye Ball Clock and the CUBIC mini portable beam. The galactic system is the main theme of the clock, as propagating spirals make it look like a fixed star or even a radio telescope. There is a blue planet that is half bright and semi-dark, with a crash in the middle that keeps the astral element alive.
As the designer mentioned, this watch is not for accurate timekeeping, but rather for experiencing the passage of time in visual and auditory bliss. Just as we get lost looking at the star-studded outer boundaries of the earth, this clock is about getting lost in the wonders of planetary motion. Just imagine this watch sitting on a desk while working productively without any strings attached to peak focus!
