Justin Bieber canceled the show in Toronto, citing illness

Justin Bieber says he is postponing two concerts in Toronto this week because he is dealing with a persistent illness.

The pop star, who grew up in Stratford, Ont., Was due to play at Scotiabank Arena on Tuesday and Wednesday as part of his Justice World tour. He will also postpone a meeting in Washington, DC, on Friday.

In a post in his Instagram stories, Bieber regretted the decision:

“I can’t believe I’m saying that. “I did everything I could to recover, but my illness is getting worse,” he wrote.

“My heart breaks that I will have to postpone these next few shows (doctor’s recommendations). All my people love you so much and I will rest and recover!”

He did not give more details about the disease.

The announcement came hours before Bieber took the stage at the first show in Toronto.

“Due to an illness not related to COVID, the Justice Tour has postponed this week’s shows in Toronto and DC,” Scotiabank Arena operator Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment said on Tuesday.

“Keep your tickets, as they will be respected when rescheduled dates are announced soon.”

This is the latest delay for Bieber’s meetings in Toronto, which have already been postponed twice due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

He was originally scheduled to play in the city in 2020 as part of the Changes Tour, which revolved around an album he released the same year.

These dates were then moved to 2021, before being moved for a second time to 2022. He played one of three performances in Toronto in March with plans to return on June 7 and 8.
