The U.S. Marshal’s Office is currently searching for three escaped prisoners after digging holes in the ceilings of their cells, allowing them to escape from the Bari County Jail in southwestern Missouri.
The inmates escaped early Friday morning, and local Sheriff Danny Boyd told ABC News that the three offenders left the prison through the maintenance door after leaving their cells. His staff noticed the disappearances when they returned to work on Friday.
According to Boyd, the prison where the prisoners are kept is old and the ceilings are made of plaster.
