Anyone who has an Android device in their pocket should make sure it is fully updated with the latest software. This is because Google has just announced the release of an emergency update that fixes a total of 41 issues with some so serious that the US technology giant has given them a critical assessment. Google said that one of the most serious errors found in the Android operating system can lead to remote code execution without the need for additional execution privileges.
This is incredibly serious, as these types of flaws can allow hackers to take full control of a device and steal personal data. Two other critical vulnerabilities that have been identified may also allow hackers to gain access to devices by sneaking malicious software.
Now that Google is releasing this version, phone makers using the Android operating system are also continuing with their own upgrades.
Samsung, for example, has already announced the release of its June patch for all its major flagship models.
This update is even more important because, in addition to the 41 issues discovered by Google, Samsung has also fixed 25 other vulnerabilities and exposures that affect its devices.
