A18 was closed while emergency services dealt with the incident

Four cyclists have been arrested after taking the wrong road on a mountain road, while the route is also currently closed.

Police said cyclists riding in two separate pairs were stopped at the East Mountain Box.

They have now been detained for violating a closed road and violating the one-way A18 system.

Cycling is not allowed on the route throughout the TT for two weeks.

Since then, the Mountain Road has reopened (14.01), after the route between Ramsey and Cragny-Baa was closed for the last few hours to deal with a traffic accident.
