Move the car to the garage and the plants inside as a warning of a severe thunderstorm, and a few clocks cover much of Alberta on Wednesday afternoon.
The storms are expected to develop in the foothills on Wednesday afternoon before moving to the northeast, Environment Canada reported. The risk of bad weather is expected to continue until the evening.

“Poor weak development in west-central Alberta will cause instability in the foothills this afternoon,” said Tiffany Lise, chief meteorologist at Global News Calgary.
