The Victoria and Lackner intersection in Kitchener is closed to collisions

A motorcyclist was taken to hospital on Wednesday morning after an accident in Kitchener.

The collision happened around 8 am at the intersection of Victoria North Street and Lackner Boulevard.

The Waterloo Regional Police Service said a motorcycle and a pickup truck were involved in the crash.

The driver of the motorcycle, a 22-year-old man from Kitchener, was taken by air ambulance to a hospital outside the region.

Police said his injuries were serious but not life-threatening.

The closure caused delays for travelers on Wednesday morning with barricades set up near intersections.

Police are continuing to investigate the clash and say charges are pending.
