Audi driver dies when car bursts into flames after hitting central reservation

The driver of the Audi died after the car hit a central reservation and burst into flames.

Cheshire police rushed to the M56 between intersections 7 and 6 around 6.47am on Friday, June 10, following reports of a crash. Once at the scene, officers found a silver Audi R8 on fire, crashing into a central reserve.

The Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service managed to put out the fire, but the driver died on the spot. The person’s family has been notified and they are supported by staff.

Investigations into the incident are ongoing and officials are asking anyone who may have board recordings or witnessed the collision to contact them. Anyone with any information or camera footage about the incident was asked to report it to Cheshire police, citing IML 1289338, or call 101.
