Britney Spears’ wedding was dramatically shattered by her first husband, Jason Alexander.
TMZ reports that Spears’ wedding to partner Sam Asgari in Los Angeles earlier today (June 9) was interrupted by Alexander, whom she married in 2004, but the wedding was canceled 55 hours later.
Alexander was reporting the incident on Instagram, and TMZ reported that the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office had responded to a call for intrusion and were reportedly still on the scene.
Spears’ ex apparently turned to the security of the event while he was live on Instagram, telling them that Spears had invited him. It was reported that he then said he would break up the wedding before what TMZ called a “physical fight” took place.
“She is my first wife, my only wife,” Alexander told security. “I’m her first husband, I’m here to break up the wedding.”
Then Alexander somehow entered Spears’ home, where he continued to broadcast the event from his phone. In the end, he abstained.
Spears and Alexander were childhood friends before their brief marriage.
Alexander was recently arrested in Franklin, Tennessee for violating a protection order and aggravating persecution.
This is an evolving story that is yet to come.
