Hogan responds to privacy commissioner’s concerns over NL election report

Justice Minister John Hogan responded to concerns that the Privacy Commissioner had been instructed to review the wording of a report prepared by the Civilian Representative on allegations of harassment and harassment by Elections NL.

Hogan says that’s not the case.

He says the letter sent asked for help and said “there is no word on that”. Hogan cites legislation that allows the commissioner to provide reasonable assistance. However, Hogan says aid cannot be provided due to a conflict of interest.
