A man armed with a large kitchen knife stole money and cigarettes from a store on Saturday afternoon.
The armed robbery took place on Belmont Road after 5 p.m.
No arrests have been made.
Detective Sergeant McVeigh said: “Police received a report shortly after 5pm that a man had entered a shop holding a large kitchen knife in his right hand.

“After that, the suspect continued to take cash from two cash registers. The suspect then left the store with a large plastic bag full of cigarettes.
“Two staff members working at the time of the incident were shaken by the ordeal.
“The suspect was described as heavy, wearing a dark hooded top, yellow gloves and dark shorts with three stripes on the sides.
“Our investigation is ongoing and we urge anyone who has been in the area or who may have noticed any suspicious activity during the incident to contact 101, citing reference number 1275 11/06/22.”
