Endgame Retcon by MCU Writer

Mrs. Marvel is a celebration of all things Marvel, as she introduces the audience to Kamala Khan, a Muslim teenager who is just as big a fan of the Avengers as the rest of us. The premiere of Disney + took Iman Velani’s young hero to AvengerCon and provided references to 28 MCU heroes and villains, while including a strangely specific description of Avengers’ latest battle: Endgame.

Because the Earth Avengers’ battle against Thanos took place out of the public eye, writers will always have a hard time explaining how the world is so aware of what happened. The same questions were asked earlier in WandaVision when Jimmy Wu mentioned that Captain Marvel was taking down Thanos’ fleet.

a miracle

Fortunately, Ms. Marvel explained that this knowledge comes from Big Me Little Me: A Scott Lang Interview – the appearance of Paul Rudd’s character in a podcast in the universe. But as it turns out, the creators of the series originally had a different idea to explain how the world knows so much.

Ms. Marvel’s producer reveals the discontinued Retcon of the Avengers

In a recent interview with The Wrap, Ms. Marvel executive producer Bisha K. Ali revealed her initial plan for how Kamala Khan was aware of the events of the last battle of Avengers: Endgame.

a miracle

The premiere confirmed that Scott Lang from Ant-Man appeared in a podcast that included a description of the events of the battle. But Ali had originally suggested to Marvel Studios president Kevin Feigi that he had “drones and a live broadcast of the Battle of Endgame,” an idea he quickly dismissed:

At one point, as in the early days before we expanded the creative team, I said to myself, “Kevin, what if there were drones and a live broadcast of the Battle of Endgame?” And he said, “Yeah, no.” I mean, there weren’t any Twitch streamers for the last Endgame battle? Are we kidding? I think I lost my mind at this point, try to solve this mystery. So it was a really big iterative trip. And that was something that changed and went all the way. And I think it must have been Sana [Amanat, co-creator of the ‘Ms. Marvel’ [comics] terrain to the end. Or maybe even – I have no idea where this idea came from. But when we integrated it into the script, I think it was perfect. It was typical. “

The executive producer went on to share how the team has gone through “a million rounds” in an attempt to understand how Kamala and the rest of the world are aware of these developments:

“I will be honest, I never take a loan where it is not due, it was not my idea. This was something we went through millions of rounds of, for example, how it works [Kamala] do you know about things Is it because everyone posts things on social media?

Scott Lang: Viral Internet Sensation

The concept of the final battle of Avengers: Endgame, which is broadcast live in the world, sounds somewhat meaningless for a number of reasons.

During the battle, billions of people had just returned to life and the planet was in chaos, it is hard to imagine anyone having time to prepare drones and live broadcast equipment. Thanos’ attack on the Avengers complex was also a surprise to all, and one could imagine the location of the team’s high-tech base as a top secret.

Ms. Marvel’s explanation of how the world is aware of the specific events of the Battle of Earth is much more logical and amusing. Scott Lang from Ant-Man is one of the funniest and most ordinary characters in MCU, so it’s easy to imagine that he wants to show off his heroic adventures in front of the world in a podcast.

Hopefully, Big Me Little Me: A Scott Lang Interview can play Ant-Man and Wasp: Quantumania in some capacity, as many fans have grown eager to see this become a reality. An impromptu interview with Paul Rudd could create a fun Disney + special to promote the tricolor before coming out next year.

Situations like this show why the role of Marvel Studios president Kevin Feigi at MCU is so important. His involvement and oversight of every project is why every MCU project is as connected as it is. The thought of drones orbiting the Avengers as they fight for the planet, and Tony Stark takes his last breath, sheds some light on this which was an incredibly tense sequence.

Ms. Marvel will no doubt provide many more references to The Avengers: The End and the Rest of the MCU when the second part premieres on Wednesday, June 15, exclusively on Disney +.
