Well, folks, this has been another busy week at Nintendo Life, with lots of highlights to mention! First, the excellent Mario Strikers: Battle League kicked off on Friday and we thought it was a great sports game for Switch in our review. Similarly, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords launched digitally on eShop, but Limited Run Games confirmed the physical release of the game later this year, along with numerous other announcements.
Elsewhere, we got our first look at the long-awaited Flashback 2 live broadcast of Summer Game Fest, which put an end to the excruciating 30-year wait. We also have a release date for TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge and it’s much closer than you might expect! Finally, in a bittersweet story, people on Twitter teamed up to help a young cancer patient connect with The Pokémon Company.
Now it’s time to relax and discuss our plans for the weekend games. Several members of the Nintendo Life team did just that below, so feel free to read our posts and then join your own through our comment section. Enjoy!

I’m still playing Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic this weekend. I downloaded the sequel, ready when I’m done, but I can postpone it until the extra DLC is added. However, I really enjoy my time with KOTOR. Once you get through the really slow start, this is a great world to get lost in.
Besides, there aren’t many others I’m playing at the moment. I’m right in the middle of Stranger Things 4 right now, so no doubt my wife and I will take some time aside to polish it up at some point.

Can you feel it? The excitement of a season other than E3 E3? Sometimes, as journalists, we are afraid not to miss any important news. The madness is here and all we can do is hope that our wallets can handle it. Great week for my Switch with physical copies of Redout Space Assault, Gear Shifters, Narita Boy, Axiom Verge 2 and Demon Slayer, all rubbing elbows to get my attention this four (!) Day weekend. But they have some competition of the highest level …
The game of the week is Mario Strikers Battle League Football. I’m sure you’re all thinking “Oh, yes, the obvious choice”, but you’ll ignore the time I had with this franchise until the first release of the GameCube in college. Play ball!

This weekend is my fifth anniversary (wow !!!), but we don’t really have many big plans other than to eat good food and play Dungeons & Dragons! I will probably play a lot [REDACTED] for review, Return of the Obra Dinn for Backlog Club and Hollow Knight pending the selection of Backlog Club for next month.

I’m leaving with my partner this weekend, but that doesn’t mean video games are completely out of the equation! I will find time to watch the demo for Yurukill: The Calumniation Games. This game has strong Danganronpa vibes, but with even more visual new elements and some segments of shump? Sounds wonderful. I’m totally in.
Also in the case is – strangely – Super Mario Sunshine. Don’t ask why I accidentally decided to take this again as part of the Super Mario 3D All-Stars package. I just had a sudden urge to play. Maybe this is a good time? Maybe I just really want to be on the beach on an island covered in grease and paint? Maybe the camera controls won’t annoy me so much this time? And, well, we’ll see. Enjoy the game!

This weekend I plan to play some Wii games with my little brother. WarioWare, Mario Kart Wii, Wii Sports, the whole band! My wii has been broken for several years, so it will be nice to finally be able to play it again!
As always, thanks for reading! Don’t forget to leave us a comment below with your plans for the weekend games!
