Less than two weeks after Holy Roller was restored and returned to its place in Victoria Park, it was vandalized.
“We were expecting it, but we didn’t know exactly when it would happen,” Rhett said. Sergeant Michael Prokur of the 1st Hussars, who was part of the team to restore the famous D-Day tank.
This happened on Saturday day with members of the 1st Hussars in the ceremony park.
“The suspect took an angle grinder and just made some marks on the back deck,” Procker said.

You really can’t see if your ground level is, but since we were, we had people in the park yesterday for a ceremony, then they saw the man doing it.
He says a police officer patrolled the park and was notified. Procure says the London Police Department has detained the man.
“We have the money and the money, and obviously the crew can do it. It’s just a matter of finding time to do it, “said Procure.
The reservoir returned to the park on May 21, 2022, after a restoration team at Fanshawe College helped bring it back to its original glory.

“The city provided security for the time he returned on May 31, until the D-Day ceremonies last weekend,” Procker said.
“We had 24-hour security at the time and after that we didn’t have extra security and then we decided it was going to happen.”
The restoration team will sand and paint the damage on Tuesday afternoon.
