Pushup Man from Newfoundland and Labrador returns again this summer to support mental health.
Every year, Bill Ginny takes to the streets to walk and do push-ups, raising awareness and mental health resources along the way.
Last year, Guiney walked from Port aux Basque to Signal Hill, doing ten push-ups every mile. He won a lot of support from people who decided to go with him and raised money for the Canadian Mental Health Association.
This year, Guiney’s efforts will focus on the Irish Loop. He will take 10 km walks in 5 different communities in and around his hometown.
Guiney knows that his challenges are important in opening a dialogue on mental health and in informing people that they are not the only ones going through it.
Ginny talks about her daughter’s past mental problems. He goes on to say that if mental health is an open book, no one will feel alone.
