Resident Evil Village gets an extension with more history and third-party mode

Capcom has finally shared details of last year’s new extension to the excellent Resident Evil Village, including a history campaign, more content for the Mercenaries mode and a third-party mode. The extension, called Winters’ Expansion, will be available on October 28, the company announced at Capcom’s exhibition on Monday.

The new story campaign, Shadows of Rose, includes Rose, the daughter of Village protagonist Ethan Winters. “Rosemary Winters, Ethan’s beloved daughter, has grown up and is now struggling with terrifying forces,” Capcom’s Tsuyoshi Kanda wrote in a PlayStation blog post. “In search of a way to free herself from her curse, Rose enters Megamitze’s mind. Rose’s journey takes her to a mysterious realm, where memories of the past return to create a distorted and distorted world of nightmares.

Shadows of Rose takes place in the third person, and with Winters’ Expansion you will be able to play the main story in the third person. Arcade-y Mercenaries mode updates include new stages and new characters to play – including the famous 9-foot-tall Lady Dimitrescu.

Capcom didn’t just share news about Resident Evil Village. He also announced that next-generation updates for Resident Evil 2, 3 and 7 will be available for download today, showed a brief overview of the upcoming remake of Resident Evil 4 and said that the online multiplayer game Resident Evil Re: Verse will be available on the same day as Winters’ Expansion, October 28th.
