WR commanders Terry McClorin did not attend the mandatory mini-camp

Washington Commander-in-Chief Terry McClorin will step out of the mandatory mini-camp this week.

Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelisero of the NFL Network said McLorin would not attend the mandatory session as the parties try to work out a long-term contract, according to sources familiar with the situation.

Nicky Jabwala of the Washington Post announced the news for the first time.

The omission of the mandatory mini-camp imposes fines on McLaren, unless the club apologizes for the absence. For skipping the three days, the wide receiver could be fined up to $ 93,085. The Washington Minicamp begins Tuesday and runs through Thursday.

Choosing from the third round of Ohio in 2019, McClorin will enter the fourth and final year of his rookie contract. His base salary of $ 2.79 million is well below the market value for his caliber.

In his first three seasons, McClorine scored 3,090 yards and 16 TDs with 222 assists. He is coming out of consecutive campaigns of over 1,000 yards despite problems with Commanders’ quarterback.

McLorin is one of several four-year-old players waiting to hit their jackpot. Deebo Samuel of the 49ers requested a substitution earlier this off-season before being considered a mandatory mini-camp, but did not play. Seahawks’ Metcalfe DC missed the mandatory mini-camp. Dionte Johnson of Steelers is not worried about the situation with his contract.

Missing off-season training McLaurin hurts the chemistry building with the new QB Carson Wentz. Of course, given that McLaren has released statistics catching passes from Taylor Heineke, Gareth Gilbert, Dwayne Haskins, Kyle Allen, Case Keynam and Colt McCoy over the past three seasons, he may not need much time to build chemistry. .
