One person was taken to hospital after a serious accident. The A48 Old Briton ferry bridge is currently closed in both directions due to a serious crash at the A483 Fabian Way traffic light around 4pm on Tuesday.
The bridge is closed in both directions from A474 Neath Road (Briton Ferry Kroundabout) to M4 at junction 42 for Swansea East and Briton Ferry, according to the Inrix traffic website.
South Wales police have confirmed that there are closed roads at junction 42 of the M4 turnoff to the east, the A48 McDonald’s roundabout at Briton Ferry and the Amazon A483 roundabout due to the accident. Since then, M4 traffic has been cleared, but closure is expected to remain until about 10pm, according to Traffic Wales.
