Britney Spears’ ex-husband Jason Alexander has been charged with harassment after appearing unannounced at her wedding last week.
After posting a live video on his Instagram at the wedding venue, in which he claimed Spears had invited him and said, “I’m here to break up the wedding,” Alexander faced security, was arrested and taken to a local jail. Spears’ wedding to Sam Asgari, her third husband, took place.
At a hearing Monday in Ventura County, California, Alexander pleaded not guilty to charges of harassment, border violation, murder and vandalism. “There was a quarrel with the security officers and the battery happened there,” said a police spokesman. “And during the quarrel, one object was broken, so the vandalism came into play. And because it is in private property, the violation takes effect. “
A judge imposed a restraining order on Alexander, requiring him to stand 100 yards from Spears for at least three years. His bail was set at $ 100,000.
Alexander and Spears, who were childhood friends, married in 2004, but the marriage was annulled less than three days later. She was then married to her second husband, Kevin Federline, between 2004 and 2006.

Spears met Asgari in a music video shot in 2016, and they got engaged in September 2021. Their marriage comes amid greater freedom for Spears, following the breakup in November 2021 of a controversial conservatism that controlled many aspects of her life.
The wedding was attended by stars, including Madonna, Donatella Versace and Paris Hilton, although various members of the Spears family were not present.
