Jeff Hardy has been arrested and charged with drunk driving.
Arrest records in Volusia County, Florida show that Hardy was detained at 12:45 a.m. Monday, June 13. He is charged with one charge of driving under the influence of drugs / alcohol (third offense in 10 years), driving with a revoked / suspended / revoked license and violating the restrictions imposed on the driver’s license.
Hardy is due to appear before a judge on Tuesday, June 14 at 1:30 p.m.
ESPN’s Mark Raimondi added additional details from the Florida Highway Patrol arrest report.
“A white car to” turn “and” escape “from the road on Monday around 12:30. When the policeman stopped the traffic and collided with Hardy, the fighter looked” stunned and confused “according to the report,” Raymondi tweeted.
“After leaving his car, Hardy was unstable and smelled of alcohol, according to the report. Officers learned from the conversation that Hardy was drinking. Hardy could not complete any part of the sobriety exercises successfully “or without the risk of falling,” the officer said in a statement.
“Officers took a breath test and Hardy’s first test showed 0.294 blood alcohol content. A second test showed 0.291. The legal limit for driving in Florida is 0.08.”
Hardy was also arrested and charged with driving under the influence of October 3, 2019 in Moore County, North Carolina. He was arrested for public intoxication in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, also on July 13, 2019. Hardy spent 10 days in jail in 2011 after pleading guilty to charges of possession of a controlled substance and one charge of conspiracy to traffic.
Hardy is currently scheduled to play a triple threat game at Dynamite this week with his brother against Jurassic Express and Young Bucks.
