A Russian “spy” has been arrested at Gatwick Airport

Rusnak was arrested by anti-terrorist police on suspicion of spying for Vladimir Putin.

The suspect, in his 40s, was detained by metropolitan police at Gatwick Airport in West Sussex on Monday night.

The Sun reported that the man was accused of spying for British President Vladimir Putin in Britain and was supposed to receive an outbound flight when he was arrested.

He was taken to Hammersmith Police Station in West London for further questioning.

The arrest comes after a joint investigation by the counter-terrorism authority of Met, SO15 and MI5.
