Pack your umbrella and cover up, strong thunderstorms are expected to hit GTA this morning.
At that time, Environment Canada issued a warning of a severe thunderstorm for Toronto, Halton Peel and York-Durham.
According to Environment Canada, these three in the region see favorable conditions for the development of severe thunderstorms, including large hailstorms the size of nickel and heavy local rainfall.
“Heavy hail can damage property and cause injuries. Lightning kills and injures Canadians every year. Remember, when there is thunder, go indoors! ”Said the Canadian Meteorological Agency.
The Fire and Emergency Management Service is urging people to take cover immediately if threatening weather approaches.
