A police cordon has been set up on a quiet residential road in Huyton.
Merseyside police have sealed a section of Elmswood Grove near Charnwood Road. The nature of the incident is still unknown.
A photo from the scene shows police guarding a patrol car on both sides of the cordon within the cut-off section of the road.
Merseyside police have been asked to comment on the cordon.

Police cordoned off a nearby gas station
A police cordon has also been set up in nearby Shell on Liverpool Road. A Merseyside police van remained on the scene, and the drivers were diverted. It is currently believed that the two cordons are not connected

“Very rare” is police activity in the area
A woman living in the area told ECHO that a police scene is rare
I just talked to a woman who has lived in the area for more than five years and she said it is usually a very quiet place to live. She said she was surprised to hear about the cordon and police presence, as there is very little police activity here.
