Boris Johnson was rebuked by the President during a debate in the House of Commons after he strangely claimed that Labor was “on the side of human traffickers”.
Deputy Prime Minister Rosie Winterton, who chaired the prime minister’s meeting on Wednesday, said the prime minister should be “more respectful” and not in line with parliamentary standards.
Mr Johnson made the claim because Labor had criticized his policy of deporting asylum seekers to Rwanda. Opposition leader Keir Starmer opposed the move because of its cost and practicality.
