Steph Curry had one night to shoot the Warriors’ 5 Game victory over the Boston Celtics on Monday, and the world is doing what it usually does after a bad night with the superstar, he said.
As usual, Stephen A. Smith joined the conversation and defended Curry in the first ESPN double on Tuesday morning.
While Splash Bro finished with just 16 points in 7 of 22 shots and made a three-pointer for the first time in his playoff career, Smith did not give credit to Boston’s defense.
“Steph Curry was 0-9 last night from a 3-point range, I counted at least four 3-point shots where he was wide open. He just missed it, it’s happening, “Smith said. “He is the greatest archer God has ever created. I’ve never seen anyone shoot basketball like him. He is right. It’s happening, isn’t it? I’m not worried about that at all.
“We got into last night’s game right after Steph Curry’s 43-point performance in Game 4 of 14 out of 26. What the hell do you mean he understood?” One match because he missed? Suddenly they understood? This is just idiotic. For anyone who would think that, it’s idiotic. ”

Before Game 5, Curry averaged 34 points on 50 percent shooting from the field and 49 percent shooting from behind the arc.
And after Curry’s historically incredible performance in 4 double-doubles, the Celtics were expected to make a few adjustments to block him better.
But Smith said he didn’t see anything really changing from a defensive point of view, and that Curry was simply missing out.

“I’m trying to say he just missed last night,” Smith said. “But I didn’t see the Boston Celtics in his face.” At the end of the day, contested, undisputed, I saw the same amount of opportunities and the same amount of contested punches, he just made them before last night. Last night was a fight, let’s see what happens in game 6. I’m ready to bet my check, you won’t see an o-fair again from Steph Curry from a range of 3 points again. I want to bet my check on that. I don’t see that happening. ”
