Two more candidates for municipal councilors have been nominated

Sault Ste. Marie’s city council race received two new hats in the ring on Tuesday.

William McPhee submitted nomination documents to run for Division 1.

Martin Poirier works in Ward 5.

At the time of writing, little information is available for each of the candidates; However, SooToday managed to confirm that the mentioned William McPhee is not William McPhee from the law firm Wishart, who serves as director of legal relations in the Program for Contact with Youth from the North and Aborigines.

Following the publication of the original version of this article, we were also informed that Martin Poirier had served on the city’s property standards review committee.

The elections will be held on October 24.

The deadline for submitting documents for implementation is Friday, August 19 at 2 p.m.
