Just a day after the first official images of Nothing Phone (1), we now have the first videos of the phone showing its unique lighting.
The video was courtesy of the YouTube channel Das kann was (via XDA-Developers), which shot the phone at the official Nothing event in Switzerland.
Again, we see the device only face down, and the phone is located in a transparent container, but still offers a good look at its distinctive translucent design.
More interestingly, the video also shows the unique lighting of the phone in action. The band lights located around the camera, in the upper right corner, around the wireless charging coil and on a vertical strip towards the bottom of the handset, are shown flashing independently of each other.
We also get a full look at the flat side frame of the phone, which emits strong vibrations on the iPhone 13.
Prior to these official statements, the leaks suggested that Nothing Phone (1) would cost 500 euros in Europe. This will be a new middle-class contender for the likes of the OnePlus Nord 2T and Realme 9 Pro Plus, not an outspoken flagship.
Recently, nothing announced that it will hold a phone launch event (1) in London on July 12 at 16:00 BST. You can register now to watch the live broadcast on the nothing.tech website.
We are also intrigued by the promise of “more exciting messages” at the event. This is likely to be a sequel to the company’s true Nothing Ear wireless headphones (1), one year from the original release.
