The vehicle crashed into the Riverside South business

No one was injured when a vehicle crashed into a business in Ottawa’s Riverside South neighborhood.

Ambulances responded to the crash at Earl Armstrong Road Mall around 4:10 p.m. on Wednesday.

The photos show that the Hyundai SUV crashed into the front window and entrance of the physiotherapy business Joint Reaction, stopping 10 to 15 feet inside the business.

Two patients were examined on site by paramedics, but did not need to be transported to hospital.

A masseur and a client were in the building at the time of the accident. Photos from the scene show debris at the entrance and in front of the building.

An Ottawa police spokesman said investigators suspected the driver had hit the wrong pedal and accelerated by crashing into the building.

Ottawa firefighters found the building structurally safe. Firefighters cut off gas and power to the building and removed the hanging glass to allow the tractor operator safe access to the vehicle from the building.

The technical rescue team checked the entire structure for safety concerns and confirmed that the integrity of the structure was safe. @OttFire firefighters cut off the gas and power supply and also removed the hanging glass so that the towing operator could safely remove the vehicle. 2/2 #OttNews
