A game of hide-and-seek turned deadly when an eight-year-old boy got stuck between a washing machine and a dryer, Georgia police said.

Wrangler Hendrix, who was visiting Texas with his grandparents, played the game at the home of a relative in Coolidge, Georgia on June 10.
The child was found “trapped between a washing machine and a dryer” by the family, Captain of the County Sheriff’s Office Tim Watkins told People.
A member of the family started resuscitation of the boy and the authorities were called, and the officials found him “inappropriate”.

Wrangler was transported to Archbold Memorial Hospital in Thomasville, Georgia, but “after approximately one hour of resuscitation attempts, the child was pronounced at approximately 7:28 p.m.,” Watkins said.
Although an autopsy will be performed, police believe he died of positional asphyxia.
