See the Nothing Phone light bars (1) on the display in a new video

Another day, another drop of phone information with nothing (1). This time we received video from the back of the phone, including the flashing rear light strips.

Nothing has organized an event in Switzerland for technology journalists and YouTubers to see the phone. Well, the back of the phone. In a glass box. So, emphasis on cf. Anyway, Das kann was recorded and posted photos of the phone from the event.

Now the video doesn’t show many things we haven’t seen before. Yesterday Nothing posted a picture on the back of the phone and that’s basically all we see in this video. The design of Nothing Phone (1) on the iPhone-like, square is a full display.

However, we get a better view of the sides of the upcoming smartphone in this video, including the power and volume buttons (interestingly, two separate volume buttons instead of the typical volume button). There is also a “Phone (1)” logo on the edge below the volume buttons.

The most important thing we see in the video are the light strips. Those weird symbols from the first annoyance of Nothing’s phone really light up. In the video you can see how the C-shaped line around the camera body glows, as well as the corner line in the right corner and the exclamation mark at the bottom.

The large G-shaped line in the middle also seems to light up at one point, but it’s hard to tell if it’s the phone or a reflection from another light in the room.

Once again I find that I am intrigued by the Phone (1). We will probably continue to learn small pieces of information in preparation for the opening on July 12. Android Police notes that the phone may go on sale on July 21 at a price of about € 500 (about $ 673.67 CAD).

Although the price sounds great, for now I will remain a cautious optimist about the phone (1). There are too many unknowns at the moment, and especially for the first phone from a new company, I want to see reviews before making judgments.
