Amber Heard said in a recent interview that she was “terrified” not to be tried again for defamation by Johnny Depp – the remarks come just three weeks after the Aquaman actress lost her defamation bombing case against her ex-husband.
“I took for granted what I thought was my right to speak, not only what I experienced, but also what I knew,” the actress said of the case on Friday night’s meeting with Savannah Guthrie on NBC’s Dateline.
“I’m terrified,” Hurd added when asked if she feared she could be tried again by Depp.
“I guess this is a defamation case designed to take your vote.”
The full interview with Guthrie aired after a number of teasers were released during the week.
Despite the jury’s decision earlier this month that Hurd, 36, reprimanded her ex-Pirates of the Caribbean for allegations of abuse, she insisted she was behind “every word” of her testimony.
In fact, Hurd doubled allegations that Depp had abused her during their “ugly” marriage – and outright accused him of lying after he repeatedly denied her allegations during the six-week trial.

At one point in the interview, Guthrie noted that Depp testified that he never hit Hurd during their relationship and that “no woman showed up and said he physically hit them.”
Hurd responded by hinting that Depp’s other exes may have been too scared to publicly accuse him of alleged abuse.
“Look what happened to me when I came forward. Would you? ”She said.

She went on to explain her motivation to speak in public after being investigated by Guthrie.
“One thing I can tell you is that I’m not vindictive. There’s no part of me that sees anything … That would be a really bad way to get revenge, “Hurd said.
“You know, Savannah, as silly as it is to say it out loud … my goal, the only thing I can hope for at the moment, is to just want people to see me as a human being.
Hurd also admitted that she “absolutely” still loves Depp and has no “bad feelings” for him.
Asked if there was anything she would like the jury to see during the trial, Hurd said she had documents from her doctor that “represent years, years of real-time explanations of what’s going on.”
“There have been years of binding notes dating back to 2011 from the very beginning of my relationship, which were made by my doctor, to whom I reported the abuse,” Hurd said at one point in an interview.
