Amber Heard said she believed notes made by her doctor in which she reported alleged violence by Johnny Depp would change the jury’s decision in the defamation case against her ex-husband. However, the comments were excluded from the six-week process.
In the latest excerpt from his NBC News interview with Savannah Guthrie on Friday, Hurd said her doctor’s notes were a recording of what she was talking about in real time, going back to the beginning of her relationship with Depp.

Hurd’s interview with Guthrie was her first interview since the trial, and NBC News maximized the exposure for its exclusivity by airing it in two parts on Today earlier this week, followed by Dateline.
The Dateline episode included parts of Guthrie’s interview that had already aired, but the hour may have shed some light on why Hurd agreed to do so, as it gave her another chance to tell her side of the story. But this was a version of events that the jury found unconvincing.
“They thought you were lying,” Guthrie told Hurd.

Hurd defended the document underlying the defamation lawsuit, saying it was not about her relationship with Depp, but about domestic violence and legislative reform. But when asked by Guthrie why she would write something that would rekindle the couple’s relationship, given their divorce agreement, Hurd acknowledged that this was a point “I want to take more seriously.”
A juror appeared in Good Morning America earlier this week and said Hurd “doesn’t look so believable.” She claims that she did not provoke physical fights, but an audio was released during the trial, in which she admitted that she had started one.
“I know a lot of these audiocassettes have been made,” Hurd told Guthrie. “And as I testified in court, what you hear in these videos is not proof of what is happening. It was proof of negotiations, of how to talk about it with your abuser.
