The wet spring weather continues in Calgary this weekend with strong thunderstorms.
The clock, released shortly after 7 a.m., warns that thunderstorms will develop at the foot of Saturday and develop east tonight. “
Some of these thunderstorms may be able to cause heavy rain, strong winds and heavy hail, “the National Meteorological Agency said.
Clocks for severe thunderstorms are issued when the weather conditions are favorable for the development of thunderstorms, which can lead to heavy hail, harmful winds or torrential rains.
Heavy thunderstorms were also issued for areas around Calgary, including Brooks, Stratmore, Vulcan, Drumheller, Three Hills, Airdrie, Cochrane, Olds, Sandre, Ocotox, High River and Clereshholm.
