With broken hearts, we will love and miss Darren forever. He was born in Castlegar, British Columbia, and has lived in many places in Canada. He is survived by his mother and father Shella and Tim Yani, his brother Sean Yani (Valerie Legrand), his sister Heather Yani and his entire extended family, including grandparents, Patricia and Ralph Yani of Sault Ste. Marie, OH, and Herb Salter and Wendy Austin of Kingston, Ontario, and his many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Darren died from his grandmother Maureen Salter of Kingston, Ontario, and his uncles Christopher and Darcy Yani of Salt St. Marie, ON.
Darren was so passionate about his interests, funny, adventurous, dedicated, hardworking, kind, so incredibly smart, and he would do anything to help anyone. He had so many accomplishments, made friends wherever he was, and had many adventures in his short life. We are grateful for this, as well as to all who loved him along the way. We will always keep all the happy memories of Darren in our hearts. There will be no public service, but we ask his friends to honor Darren by enjoying and living their lives to the fullest.
