A motorcyclist died after a Westlink crash in Belfast

A man died after a Westlink crash on Sunday night, police said.

the man died on the spot after the motorcycle he was riding hit the central reserve shortly before 7 p.m.

An investigation into the clash is under way, and anyone who has witnessed the clash or who has taken footage that may help in the investigation has been asked to contact officers from the Clash Investigation Department on 101, citing reference number 1640 19 / 06/22.

Westlink is now open again after the collision, after it was closed in both directions between Broadway and Clifton Street.

The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service (NIAS) said a call had been received by 999 at 6:53 p.m. following RTC reports involving a West Link motorcycle in Belfast.

Two ambulance teams were sent to the scene.

The spokesman added: “After the assessment and initial treatment, no patients were taken from the scene.
