The Tottenham MP in north London joins Labor leader Sir Keir Starmer in the oversight investigation. Starmer said he was “absolutely sure” he had not broken the rules, as he blamed the investigation for administrative errors in his office.

According to the rules, deputies must register changes in their financial interests within 28 days. Lamy’s financial register contains a number of interests registered after this period, including a speech in the United States about the invasion of Ukraine.
