We have been hearing about Telegram Premium for a long time. Now the wait is finally over. Telegram has just released version 8.8 in the Apple App Store – allowing users to unleash the full potential of Telegram for $ 4.99 per month. Expectedly, the existing features remain free. However, those who want to get some tempting new additions will have to pay a monthly fee now.
At this time of writing, the update is not yet available in the Google Play Store. However, the company tends to release major updates for all platforms within the same day. So you can expect to see this version in a day or two if the publishing process is going smoothly.
The complete list of Premium features includes:
- 4GB upload.
- Faster downloads.
- Connect 4 accounts in each application.
- Organize your chats into 20 folders containing 200 chats each.
- Pin 10 chats to your main list.
- Book up to 20 public links to t.me.
- Save 400 favorite GIFs and 10 favorite stickers.
- Write a longer resume for your profile and include links.
- Include longer captions for photos and videos.
- Voice to text transcripts.
- Exclusive stickers and reactions.
- Premium badge in the account.
- Profile video support.
- No ads.
- More custom icons.
In addition to Premium Privileges, iOS Version 8.8 also adds some features for both free and paid users. Public groups now support join requests, there is a new animation when sharing large files from other Telegram applications, in addition to bot enhancements, ProMotion 120Hz support and bug fixes.
These new features are useful for paying users, but also not too tempting for those who prefer not to pay. Free users probably won’t feel like they’re missing out on much. However, in my opinion, the proposals are significantly richer than those of Twitter Blue. It remains to be seen whether a significant proportion of Telegram users ignore the new Premium level or subscribe to it.
