A deeply loved member of the Whistler Society for Search and Rescue has been found dead after a long search and rescue effort.
Toby Saline “went home to rest in the arms of those who cared so much for him” at about 4 p.m., Whistler’s search and rescue president Brad Sils said in a statement on Sunday.
“Toby was a much-loved member of the Whistler SAR family and the wider community that he volunteered so diligently for more than eight years,” Sils wrote.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends and colleagues. He will be very much missed. “
