FACEBOOK does not work for some users against the background of a mysterious interruption.

The social network suffered a jump in reports of problems on Monday, according to Down Detector.

The problem does not seem to be widespread at the moment.

But several users have already complained on competing social networks such as Twitter.

Most appear to be in non-English speaking countries.

Screenshots show that affected users receive a strange “unexpected error” message when they try to log in.

“Login error: An unexpected error occurred,” it said.

“Please try logging in again.”

The Down Detector site actually noticed a jump in the reported problems on Facebook, starting around 8 am British time.

They reached their peak around noon and are still above normal at the moment.

It is not clear what is behind the problem at this stage.

Meta, who owns Facebook, also said nothing, which also makes us wonder if this could be a minor thing.

Unlike the big break last year, which left all of Mark Zuckerberg’s apps offline for hours around the world.

This one not only hit Facebook, but also Instagram and WhatsApp, which it also owns.
