The search for a man who went missing in Watermead Park began on the fourth day, and investigations are ongoing. The man was first reported to have entered the lake on Friday night (June 17th), with widespread reaction from emergency teams in force since then.
Speaking earlier, Detective Superintendent Michelle Keane of Leicestershire Police said the searches had so far yielded no results: led to be found. We are now working closely with experts to identify the next steps in finding the missing man. We have employees who are in contact with the man’s family and support them in this difficult time. “
Police drones and search boats are deployed in an attempt to find the man, who has not been identified. The police remain in place today.
