Alberta Prime Minister Jason Kenny made some cabinet changes Tuesday afternoon.
Jason Nixon, who is currently Secretary of the Environment and Parks, will become chairman of the finance board and finance minister, a role he held temporarily when Travis Tows announced his campaign.
Whitney Issyk is the new Minister of Environment and Parks after being Associate Minister for Women’s Status.
The position of Assistant Minister will go to Jackie Armstrong Homenyuk, MLA for Fort Saskatchewan-Wegreville.
Matt Jones, MGA for Calgary Southeast, will take over Rebecca Schultz’s old job as Minister of Children’s Services after she retired to run for party leader.
Prasad Panda, the current Minister of Infrastructure, will replace Rajan Sony as Minister of Transport. Sony also competes in the UCP leadership race.
Nicholas Milliken, MLA Calgary-Curry, will be Minister of Infrastructure.
Brad Rutherford, Leduc-Beaumont’s deputy government whip and MLA, is now the chief government whip and minister without portfolio.
