Bischet wins the Grand Slam, Jace wins

Blue Jays 9 White Sox 5

Even before the match started, Jace’s coach, Guillermo Martinez, was thrown out during the exchange of cards for the team. He seems to have said something to yesterday’s Judge Doug Eddings. As something that suggests that Eddings will take a white cane.

Alejandro Kirk was amazing. In the first inning, he runs in singles. In the third inning, there was no one to score at base, so he was homers.

Also amazing, Matt Chapman. In the first inning, Ross Stripling gave up a single and then a ground ball on the third baseline, which Chapman grabbed and threw to the second, just in time for an out, and Santiago Espinal made the perfect spin to turn it into a double. Just a great play. Then Stripling gets crossed out. The next inning, a single ball on the ground for Chapman for a far more routine double, is out. In the third inning they missed the single, but Chapman still made a very good game for the third out.

Chapman made another great game in the fourth inning, stopping on the ground on the ball and then throwing second from his knees. It may have been a double game, but Espinal had some problems with the transfer.

Stripling made 6 innings, allowed 5 goals, 1 walk with 5 outs and 1 won. The winning streak came because Lourdes tried to catch a dive and failed. With the ball past him, allowing the runner to score first. I would have been upset by it if the game hadn’t been so distorted. But he had to know there was no chance.

In the third inning we were going to get a series outside of Kirk when Lourdes Guriel pointed at home to Chapman (who doubled strongly on the left field line. Later in the inning Bo Bischet hit his second Grand Slam tournament of the season, leading us 7-0. .

Theoscar Hernandez struck from two runs in the seventh and made the score 9-1.

The White Sox forced two players to leave the game with injuries. SS Danny Mendick left the field after 80 minutes because of a nasty blow to the shin. And right fielder Adam Engel left with a strain in the hamstring.

David Phelps dropped out of the series in the seventh. The inning started with a flyball to the wall in the center, which Bradley Zimmer reached, but missed a catch. It wasn’t easy, but Zimmer is in the game to do these tricks. The next test was a single for Lourdes. This time he did not dive, but threw himself home for no apparent reason. He would not take the runner from a third.

Cimbet had problems, but we had a big lead, so we can forgive.

I will add THE JOD later.
