Environment Canada is investigating a possible tornado in Binscart, Man. on Thursday night.
The Meteorological Agency said there was still not enough evidence to confirm the tornado, but meteorologists were investigating and looking for photos of the alleged tornado or any damage it may have caused.
The news comes after a strong thunderstorm moved to Manitoba on Thursday night and Friday morning. During this time, the storm brought heavy hail to several communities.
According to Environment Canada, Binscarth and Rossburn received hail the size of a baseball, which in some cases broke windows and damaged the siding.
Those in Oakburn were hit by hail, which ranged in size from golf balls to tennis balls, while Plumas and Clear Lake received hail the size of the little one.
Environment Canada reported that Sandy Lake received a quarter-size hailstorm and Waywayseecappo received a nickel-sized hailstorm.
Along with the hail, the storm also brought strong winds that reached over 100 km / h in some settlements.
According to Environment Canada, Pilot Mound received winds of up to 104 km / h, while in Russell and Clearwater they reached 91 km / h. Manitu also had strong winds that reached 89 km / h.
