Damaged vehicles at Waterloo offices

Waterloo Regional Police are investigating after 21 vehicles in four Waterloo offices were vandalized within two days.

Police said the cars were damaged in most cases, but nothing was taken.

Employees were called to Northfield Drive West and Parkside Drive around 2 a.m. Thursday.

They found that two people had damaged a total of 19 vehicles in three separate offices.

Waterloo Nissan said 15 vehicles were directed to their section. Some of the damaged cars are for sale, and others are there for service. They told CTV News that everyone had broken windows or flat tires.

“Most window vehicles are usually between $ 400 and $ 600,” said Eddie Alyatim, general manager of Waterloo Nissan. “If it’s a windshield, it can cost up to $ 1,600 [or] $ 1,800. As for the tires, we already have some values to change, about $ 150 for a tire. Some of the higher-end vehicles will cost around $ 450 per tire. “

Alyatim added that nothing had been stolen from the vehicles, but repairs were taking time.

“It’s very frustrating for both us and our customers at the end of the day, especially when there was absolutely no reason for it,” Alyatim said.

That night, two vehicles were vandalized at Kia and two more at Forbes.

Police are looking to identify two suspects in connection with Thursday’s incidents. Both were described as men with a slender physique and approximately 5 feet 8 tall. One is said to be wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, dark pants, a baseball cap and backpack. The other was described as wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with white lettering, dark pants and a backpack.
