The countdown to the start of the Armed Forces weekend is underway as festival goers prepare to parade through Cleethorpes with their colorful floats from 6pm tonight.
Excited people are already gathering on the beach for the Cleethorpes Carnival. Musicians were filmed tuning in before the live performances, and the seaside town was transformed with colorful buntings and a giant Ferris wheel.
Follow Grimsby Live for updates and lots of photos as we document the exciting start of the festivities after a five-year hiatus. at 18:00, the parade will move from Grant Street to Alexandra Road, where it will meet a panel of judges at The Knoll, which will decide on the best floats.
