Timm Fire in Vacaville triggers evacuations in Solano County

The vegetation fire in Vacaville triggered an evacuation in Solano County on Thursday afternoon, authorities said.

The fire, called Timm Fire, was about 26 acres and 80% under control at about 7:45 p.m., and burned near the Buena Vista Lane and Timm Road area, Cal Fire’s Sonoma Lake Napa Unit officials said on Twitter. The area was changed due to better mapping of the perimeter of the fire, Cal Fire said.

The progress of the fire has been stopped, Cal Fire officials said shortly after 4 p.m.

“Firefighters will be in the area for the next few hours working to limit and extinguish hotspots,” Cal Fire officials said on Twitter.

Solano County Emergency Services ordered the evacuation of all residents living north of Cantelow Road, south of Peaceful Glen Road, east of the Dove Creek Trail, west of Timm Road and east of English Hills Road.

“There is an imminent threat to life,” county officials said in the evacuation orders. “Leave.”

Some East Bay residents were also ordered to evacuate on Thursday due to a forest fire that broke out on the Pleasanton Range, authorities said.

Firefighters are battling vegetation fires separately in Martinez and the Sunol area, Cal Fire officials said.
